Erika Damsgard, M.A.
Mental Health Therapist
She/Her/Hers

My greatest passion has always been helping others understand their own psychology so they have the power to make changes for themselves. I strive to create an open, accepting space where you feel comfortable and heard. I view therapy and psychological testing as a partnership where I can meet you wherever you are, and we work together to find what isn’t working for you and create goals to help get you back on track. I use an integrative approach to treatment but will typically utilize cognitive-behavioral, acceptance and commitment, client-centered, and mindfulness techniques. I also feel that education is a vital part of treatment. The more we know about something, the more power we have to improve it and feel better prepared to move forward.

In my work providing psychological testing, I have experience working within private practice, forensic, and university settings to provide comprehensive psychological evaluations to a variety of individuals, age 6 and up. I have experience in psychological testing related to diagnostic clarification, autism spectrum disorder, attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder, forensic evaluation, neurocognitive evaluations, etc. Here at Ampersand Psychological Services, I provide comprehensive psychological evaluations through working collaboratively with you to ensure that your goals are being met and you are able to obtain answers and recommendations that can help you take control of your life.
