Psychological Assessments

A psychological assessment contributes important information to the understanding of individual characteristics and capabilities, through the collection, integration, and interpretation of information about an individual. Such information is obtained through a variety of methods and measures, with relevant sources determined by the specific purposes of the evaluation (e.g., records review, interview, behavioral observations, and formal psychological or neuropsychological testing). These sources ultimately lead to more accurate and appropriate clinical conclusions (e.g., diagnosis, recommendations for treatment planning).

Examples of Psychological Assessment include:

  • Diagnostic Clarification

  • Parenting Evaluations

  • Treatment Planning/Recommendations

  • Court Ordered Psychological Assessments
