Dr. Darci has an extensive background in clinical therapy, with experience across a diverse range of settings. Her work includes providing intensive care for children with autism, offering treatment for individuals with developmental disabilities who have committed sexual offenses, conducting substance use assessments and treatment for those with co-occurring mental illness/problematic substance use, and providing outpatient therapy. She also has specific expertise in sex offense-specific treatment, gained at both the Minnesota Sex Offender Program (MSOP) and within the Minnesota Department of Corrections' sex offense-specific program. Additionally, she served for over five years as a clinical therapist and outpatient manager at Recovering Hope Treatment Center (RHTC). Dr. Darci is passionate about helping individuals discover value and meaning in their lives. Her clinical focus addresses critical areas such as relationships, sexuality, abuse/trauma, behavioral issues, and self-worth. In her individual therapy sessions, she integrates animal-assisted therapy, partnering with her certified therapy dog, Marvel. She utilizes a variety of evidence-based strategies, including cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. Dr. Darci also specializes in completing court-ordered examinations for commitment, competency, and criminal responsibility.
